Commercial Project Manager (CPM) - Finance Controller

In this role you drive the commercial and financial management of projects from sale to completion within Siemens Smart Infrastructure. You will partner with Sales and Project Management, ensuring profitable execution, accurate forecasting, and compliant contracting. The position involves cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Auditors to manage risks, cash flow, and reporting. This is a hybrid role based in Cypress, CA with travel and a focus on delivering value through disciplined project finance.

• Lead project lifecycle management from intake to warranty, including budgeting and financial planning
• Oversee bid preparation and contract negotiation with Legal support and risk assessment
• Manage project finances: forecasting, cost control, cash flow, invoicing, and receivables
• Coordinate procurement and ensure best bids within contracts and budget
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, tax, export controls and ICFR/RIC
• Present commercial topics in project meetings and escalate critical issues
• Foster team accountability and continuous improvement through lessons-learned reviews
• Engage with stakeholders across Customers, Suppliers, Engineering, and Internal Finance

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent Siemens experience
• 4+ years in commercial project controlling/management in complex construction projects
• 10-20% travel
• Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
